    Quail can be kept in the same aviary as most finches, doves, and placid parrots. As ground dwelling birds, they bring activity to a part of the aviary

    Have always had King Quail on my avairy floors. Yes their poo needs cleaning out a bit more often. But get a nice placid strain like I have and they are great foster mums to the early fledging finches, and will keep them warm overnight when needed. They also come in an interesting mix of shades. Cinnamon is not just cinnamon. It is everything from red to fawn.
